Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has stated that he is extremely happy to be playing alongside the likes of Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, who he thinks are some of the best players in the world. Benzema has been a revelation for Real Madrid this season. After several years of struggle in front of goal, it seems that manager Carlo Ancelotti has got the best out of him. The striker has already scored 17 goals in the league. Even though it is not comparable with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, it is a massive improvement over his previous campaigns.
Due to the lack of a proper backup following the departure of Gonzalo Higuain, Benzema is that a lot of pressure rest on his shoulders to lead the attack. He has formed a great partnership with Ronaldo and Bale. This is seen as one of the most expensive forward line-ups in the world. The combined cost of these three players is almost £ 200 million. They have scored a staggering 85 goals amongst the 135 goals scored by the club in all competitions this season. At 26 years of age, Benzema is at the peak of his powers and is now setting his sights on winning the treble with the club.
“They are great players. I get on really well with them, whether it’s on or off the pitch. It’s easy to play alongside players like that, they are strong, quick and very technical. But we are a team, it’s not only about us, the three forwards, we have got the help of the whole team. Our team plays attacking football, and as I have said, there are some great players up front, and it’s great for us to score a lot of goals, and great that we help the team to win games,” said Benzema.
