            BENZEMA, VAZQUEZ STILL NOT YET BACK IN REAL MADRID GROUP TRAINING

While most of the players from Real Madrid away on international duties, the select few who have remained at the club trained with the Castilla squad at the Valdebebas training ground today. However, as Mundo Deportivo reports club captain Karim Benzema and versatile star Lucas Vazquez did not train with the rest of the group and still continued their recovery in the indoor facilities. Benzema picked up an injury in the UEFA Champions League outing against Celtic two weeks ago and has since missed three matches for Los Blancos, including the Madrid derby against Atletico this past weekend.

As for Vazquez, he got injured in the La Liga clash versus RCD Mallorca around ten days back and has not played since either. While Benzema made a push to try and return for the derby, the French striker and the coaching staff ultimately decided not to rush things with his recovery considering that he is the only recognised senior striker on the club’s books at the moment. Karim Benzema’s legacy at Real Madrid is special. While he has been an indispensable part of the team for nearly a decade, his importance in the last two seasons has been unparalleled. World champions France are still waiting for their first win in the current UEFA Nations League campaign following their 1-1 draw with hosts Austria. France are the reigning World Cup winners and reigning Nations League winners.


With the draw against Austria in Vienna on Friday, France are now winless in their first three games as far as the ongoing UEFA Nations League campaign is concerned. France are in Group A1 alongside Austria, Croatia and Denmark. Read More

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to hand a contract extension to superstar striker Karim Benzema if they fail to sign ErlingHaaland in the summer. According to a report from Defensa Central, Real Madrid will offer a new contract to Karim Benzema if their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund hitman ErlingHaaland does not yield the desired result in the summer.


Haaland is one of the most coveted commodities heading into the upcoming transfer window. BENZEMA COULD BE FIT IN TIME FOR PSG CLASH

The UEFA Champions League is back next week and Real Madrid’s striker Karim Benzema is facing a race against time to be fit and ready for his side’s clash against French Ligue 1 heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain. Benzema has been struggling for fitness fir a while now and only returned to normal training earlier in the week. Since then, he has been closely monitored and looked after by thhe Los Blancos team doctors as they plan to get their star striker back in full fitness ahead of the clash. Benzema has been one of the standout performers for Real Madrid this season and has formed a remarkable and exciting attacking partnership with Vinicius Junior in the Real Madrid frontline and it would only make sense for Madrid to get him as ready as possible for the visit to Paris where they will be facing Paris Saint-Germain.

Sevilla took the lead through Rafa Mir on 12 minutes off the assist from Marcos Acuna and it took hosts Real Madrid twenty (20) minutes for them to find the equaliser through the in-form Karim Benzema. Frenchman Karim Benzema is now the fourth highest goalscorer in UEFA Champions League (UCL) history after he moved ahead of Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez with his goal in the disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol for Spanish giants Real Madrid. Karim Benzema scored the lone Real Madrid goal in the second half but it was not enough for Carlo Ancelotti’s men to take a point.


Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid were heavy favourites ahead of their Group D clash with FC Sheriff but they were unable to live up to that status. Uzbekistan attacker JasurbekYakhshiboev stunned the Santiago Bernebeu with the opening goal of the game on 25 minutes and they were able to defend the lead until the half-time break. FC Sheriff players kept their Real Madrid counterparts at bay until the in-form Vinicius Junior was fouled in the box with twenty second half minutes gone. BENZEMA SIGNS NEW MADRID CONTRACT EXTENSION

Real Madrid and Karim Benzema have decided that they want to continue their partnership after the striker recently signed a new contract extension at the club. Benzema, a long-serving player at the Santiago Bernabeu, has been a mainstay in the Real Madrid starting lineup since making his debut for the club and he has grown from strength to strength, establishing himself as one of the most important players at the club. He has also done enough to earn himself the status of a legend at Real Madrid and is a loved player among the club’s fans.

Benzema was signed as a very young striker from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon in the summer transfer window of 2009 and he has not looked back since then. Benzema has somehow managed to remain a Real Madrid player despite the club signing a lot of other attackers while he has still remained at the club. The Los Blancos have been under the management of several managers in the last couple of years but while others have all dispersed, he has remained at the club and they are now set to continue their journey together for at least another two years.

BENZEMA WANTS CONTINUED REAL MADRID STAY

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has refuted claims that he could be leaving the Spanish La Liga giants this summer and has insisted that he wants to continue playing for the club. Benzema scored two goals for France on Monday night against Switzerland in their Euros 2020 knockout round encounter but the goals were not enough to see them proceed to the next round as they were knocked out by the Swiss side on penalties after playing out a 3-3 draw.

France went behind early in the first half of the tie and trailed till the end of the opening 45 minutes before getting an equalizer through Benzema in the second half. The striker scored another goal in what was a quick-fire brace and he put France in the lead. Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba scored a third for Les Blues to make the scoreline 3-1 but they could not preserve the lead as they conceded two goals which saw Switzerland equalize to make the scoreline 3-3.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has expressed his excitement and delight to be rejoining the France national team after more than six years out of the squad. The former Lyon striker was banned from ever representing his country’s national team after he and his former France teammate Valbuena were careless to have had their sex tape released to the internet. The incident, which occurred back in 2014, was enough to have him thrown out of the France squad by the France Football Federation and he had never gotten a call-up from them until this week.

Even though the striker has since been performing brilliantly for Real Madrid since then, there had not been a perfect excuse for France to recall him to the squad. However, in what will be a happy return for the prolific goalscorer, he will now be able to represent his country at international competitions, starting from the EUROS 2020-2021 after France national team head coach Didier Deschamps sent him a surprise call-up to link up with the rest of the squad.
